... My climb

Our life is a climb... okay, im pretty sure we all know that by now but i have really learned to rely on this statement. Thingsare finally coming together as to why im here in Hawaii and Im beginning to understand what I was supposed to do here and why I came. My life is a climb...not just any climb though, its my very own climb and as people come into my life they helped me up and help me run sometimes while others stop me. I need to not only walk casually up my mountain but march with pride and confidence. For a while I kept saying that my life wasnt going anywhere and that I was stuck on some dumb plateau...my emotions werent changing and I was so frustrated and couldnt figure it out but someone so dear to me (my mother) recently brought up the metaphor that our life is a climb but another person dear to me told me to relate mine to my climb up Stairway to Heaven here in Hawaii. That experience was life changing for me. It was so much fun while i was surrounded by so many friends but also challenging at times and i really began to understand what this meant to me. On our climbs we will see beautiful sunsets and sunrises, we will watch things change and notice new things that we have never seen before. Thank you to everyone who has helped me climb my mountain and lifting me up and carrying me when i have needed it. I love you and let me be there for you too.

...Oklahoma!

OKLAHOMA dah dah dah dah I already miss it! For about the past 2 months I was in the musical here at BYUHawaii. This past weekend we had our three performances and they were so much fun! I am so grateful for the opportunity that I had to be a part of such an amazing production and to get to know so many talented and fun people. I wasone the dancers and part of the chorus and enjoyed every minute of it, even the stressful ones!It passed faster than I could have imagined but I did my best taking it all in. I am always so thankful for being a part of certain things like musicals because I really do love everyone that I get to know and doing something that I love to know that most people don'tknow about me.I have somany people to thank for making it such a wonderful experience but I'll first start with the directors and choreographers, all of my friends I have made, and to everyone who came to support the cast, thank you to my best friends who came to every performance, and thank you Mom and Dad for supporting me and for making me audition in the first place! I love you! xoxo

...Goats Island

Monday the 21st of February we didn't have any school! I'm always up for an adventure so thanks again to Skylar and Jenni we decided to go to Goats Island with Inoka (who's on the golf team) and watch him catch squid! I don't have any pictures of this day but it was so much fun. We surfed out to the island and then snorkeled a little bit while he caught the squid. I had never seen a real squid before but they were pretty cool. Goats Island is so pretty and not very far from the shore! I recommend anyone to go there because its just a little adventure to see here in Laie Hawaii!

...Tbay Saturday!

Just this past Saturday during all my busy time with the play I spent the day with Jennilyn at Turtle Bay. We just love these days because we feel like tourist and can sit by the pool, and order whatever we want :) The boys dropped us off while they went to golf and Jenni and I enjoyed our time swimming and sipping our Pina Coladas (once again) after we sat and talked and once we were worn out we decided to go back to get the boys. We ended watching them play golf for a little bit and joined them on the course...Jenni and I should be on the golf team here, I just decided!

...Food Fest

The same day we went to the resevoir there also was the annual Food Fest at BYUH in the flag circle! All of the clubs at our school get together and make a bunch of food from all of the different countries and you get to buy it. Itwas soo yummy! The part that I loved about this night was that Jenni, Sky, and I got there not toolate after it started andwe were there until after they finished cleaning everything up. Part of the reason for this was because it started pouring around 10:00 and we stayed to play in the rain! Just a few pictures...

...illegal adventures!

Just a few Saturaday's ago I got a call from my friend (Nate) asking us if we wanted to go to the resevior with a big bunch of friends. Of course we wereup and ready for a fun adventure so decided to go. The resevoir is about a 35 min. drive just past Kaneohe and then once you get there you have to be very quiet while hopping2 fences and walking up to it. We had such a fun time there and I absolutely loved the view of the mountains that we had that had small waterfalls running down the sides of them! ahh I sure love Hawaii :) I wasdefinitely kind of afraid of seeing the cops show up but thankfully they didnt. ha We did have a different small problem and that was when Nate Packer got a concussion and didnt rememberwho I was! That was kinda scary. After about 20 min. small memories started coming back to him but I was a little embarrassed since he was the one who invited me and had no idea who I was. Get ready for picture overload!

The view once we got to the top...after struggling climbing the dumb hill. On the way back down we realized that if you walked about 20 feet towards the mountain you didnt have to climb.
Thank you Nate!! xoxo
